iPhone 4 owners ignoring Apple’s new case fix

MobileMagpie.co.uk, the mobile phone recycling price comparison site, reports that the number of people comparing iPhone 4 prices to sell their new Apple iPhone 4 handsets has increased significantly in the past 2 weeks.

The iPhone 4, Apple’s third-generation handset, which was launched recently in the UK on, has been dogged by technical problems linked to the phone’s reception and antenna. Apple have since offered all iPhone 4 owners  a free case to try and solve the problem, but the recent surge in iPhone 4 owners comparing prices at MobileMagpie.co.uk appears to suggest this initiative is not working.

The free case being offered by Apple will help overcome a widely reported issue in which phone signal strength was drained when the phone was held a certain way. To get their free case, owners will be able to apply via the Apple website from 22 July. Apple have said they could not make enough for all owners of the phone but would source a supply and offer a range of cases.

MobileMagpie.co.uk is currently showing prices of up to £409 for the iPhone 4 16GB handset, and up to £468 for the iPhone 4 32GB handset, according to the live price information on MobileMagpie.co.uk.
