The new Xperia X10 has gone on sale to wide acclaim with some pundits calling it an "iPhone killer"

A spokesperson for PhoneShop.co.uk said "We've had the Xperia X10 a few days now and first impressions are it is fast and fun. We like the Android's system simplicity with a back button and home button that makes it easy to to find your way around. As always on Sony Ericsson phones, the camera is excellent but compare to other Sony's the menus are much improved. Other impressive features are the facebook status updates as screen saver."

With the big screen and excellent animated menus, the X10 feels quite luxurious comments a reviewer, one drawback of that though is the size of the phone. To address these concerns a smaller version is on the way a spokesperson for Sony Ericsson has pointed out.

The Xperia X10 will initially be available with contracts from O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone.
