Well its Day 11 of the 2010 World Cup and after some amazing games yesterday its time to focus on what today brings – although I don’t we will see anything as amazing as New Zealands draw with Italy, nor the Oscar winning acting that saw Brazils Kaka sent off.

First up today is Portugal vs North Korea. Now this isn’t an easy group, and Portugal started off their campaign with a draw against the Ivory Coast, whilst North Korea – who everybody thought would get mullered by Brazil – actually only went down 2-1. The bookies don’t think that North Korea can beat Portugal, and have offered ridiculous odds for a team whos workrate and determination nearly got them something against Brazil. Oddly Portugal are massive odds on favourites despite the fact that they cant score goals or create chances at the moment – in fact Christiano Ronaldo has failed to score in the entire tournament including the qualifying rounds.

Here’s some of the best odds for this game

North Korea to win – 9/1 with Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and Bet365

North Korea 0 – 0 Portugal - 9/1 with 888sports

A penalty to be awarded – 3/1 with William Hill

Game 2 is Chile vs Switzerland. Switzerland provided the first upset of the 2010 World Cup by beating Spain in their first game, whilst Chile pipped Honduras 1-0 to ensure that these two teams top the group. Switzerland play a very defensive formation and only had 33% possession against Spain, whereas Chile are a very attacking force – employing an unusual 3-3-1-3 formation. So, massive attacking team versus ultra defensive team, there’s only one way this will end up – a draw.

A draw – 21/10 with Paddy Power, 888sports and Bet365

Suazo (Chile) to score first – 6/1 with William Hill

Draw Halftime/Draw Fulltime – 10/3 with Ladbrokes

Todays last game is Spain versus Honduras. Spain have to win this to have any chance of progressing to the last 16, so I would expect them to go all out for the win. Odds of 1-7 about Spain winning this match dont appeal to me, so the best options appear to lie in the goalscoring markets. David Villa and Fernando Torres understandably dominate these markets but Xabi Alonso scores his fair share of goals from midfield and the Real Madrid playmaker looks an absolute standout with Ladbrokes at 7-1 to score at any time, given he is as short as 2-1 elsewhere.

Alsono to score at any time – 7/1 with William Hill

Spain 3 – Honduras 0 – 11/2 with 888sports

Spain 4 – Honduras 0 – 8/1 with William Hill and Paddy Power

Dont forget that William Hill are giving away £66 of free casino money, so you can sit down and watch the game on TV and play Roulette or something at the same time. All you have to do is download the software and register and account and those nice guys at Hills will put £66 into your account - you dont even have to deposit! Go to www.williamhillbonuscode.com to see all the offers that William Hill have.
