News has just been released that a major hollywood film stars are set to hit its shores to film the sequel to the smash hit film Clash of the Titans.

The first film which was released in 2010 was filmed on the island during the summer of 2009 and highlighted not only the beauty of the island but also its diverse landscape. Now it has been announced that the Tenerife Film Commission has managed to entice producers back to the island to film part two.

While the fims title has not yet being released some major stars are already set to return with Liam Neeson and Sam Worthington being to of hollywoods hottest stars at the moment this is likely to give the islands tourists industry a huge lift. The last film bought in over 5million euro to the region and this film is said to be even larger than it predecessor.

Russ Beech director of travel for Tenerifeholidays.co.uk said “ this is huge news for the island and is very exciting for us as a company as it will showcase the island and hopefully increase sales.

Filming is expected to start in 2012 however the release date is yet to be confirmed.
