The Samsung Genio Slide White is the latest colour variant of this particularly popular handset which offers both expressive functionality and the means by which to effectively enter data by virtue of its QWERTY keyboard. The unit measures 105 mm x 50 mm wide and is also 15 mm thick whilst weighing 135 g in weight.

The unit comes with a 2.8 inch TFT touch screen that delivers excellent colour reproduction by virtue of its 16 million display capability options all of which are confined within a 240 x 320 pixel screen size. The unit provides a full QWERTY keyboard as its primary means of data entry, offering landscape mode text entry. The handset provides 150 MB internal memory, with the option, of utilising the integrated microSD card slot to increase this up to a more creditable 16 GB. In addition the handset provides a variety of connectivity options which incorporate the full spectrum of available possibilities, such as GPRS and EDGE, both of which are class 10 as well as Bluetooth and USB connections. In addition the handset provides web access by virtue of the Wi-Fi and HSDPA connections which offers speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps. In addition the handset provides the GPS functionality and incorporates that with A-GPS support.

Entertainment is provided by virtue of the stereo FM radio with RDS capabilities as well as an MP3 media player. In addition a 3.15 mega pixel camera is provided which offers effective image capture and also includes smile detection and geo-tagging as standard. In addition the camera also doubles up as a video capture device offering the ability to record video at QVGA quality and at 15 frames per second. A secondary camera is provided which also provides video capture capabilities.
