Panasonic KX-TG Range Overview

The Panasonic KX-TG line is a large range of cordless phones for both business and regular consumer use. The range runs from the basic entry-level phones up to base units that can handle up to eight separate cordless telephones being run from it.

One of the models featured in the KX-TG range is the KX-TG 6051-12. The model has features you would expect of a normal cordless phone including an LCD screen, through which the user can access the 50 name and number phonebook and utilise the caller ID feature, which on this model also has a special feature whereby the caller's name will be spoken to you by the machine. The model also has mute, redial and speakerphone functions on the handset, and a ringer volume control and ringer indicator light.

The Panasonic KX-TG 6051-12 also has a voicemail function with flash memory, meaning that should the power supply be interrupted, no messages will be lost, and special Voice Enhancer Technology to ensure the reception is clear. This model is also hearing aid compatible, is wireless network friendly so any wireless internet will not be disturbed, and up to a further three handsets can be added to the base unit giving great flexibility.

Another model is the Panasonic KX-TG 8232B, which comes in a piano black finish. This comes with a base-unit and two telephones, with the option of adding up to six in total, to allow for connectivity all over the home or office. The telephones themselves feature a 1.5 inch 3-line LCD colour screen, which allows for quick and efficient menu navigation. There is also a speakerphone and a headset jack. The Panasonic KX-TG 8232B also supports polyphonic ringtones, of which there are fifteen, and a temporary ringer off feature is present, to ensure the user is not disturbed if they do not want to be. A 5-history redial option is also featured, and caller ID is supported and provided with a 50-number memory. The base unit also features a voicemail facility with a flashing message indicator.

One further model that is extremely feature-rich is the Panasonic KX-TG 9344T. This bundle comes with a base station and four phones, all with 3-line LCD screens, and can be upgraded to take up to six separate handsets. The answering system is all-digital, meaning crystal-clear reception even if not close to the base. The phone also has a call block facility, which gives unwanted numbers a busy tone, and a talking Caller ID, alarm clock and battery alert. The KX-TG 9344T also features Night Mode, which enables the user to put certain handsets into silent mode for the duration of the night ensuring the user is not disturbed. There is also a built-in clarity booster, to enhance sound quality, and there is also a headset jack and redial and recall functions.

The whole Panasonic KX-TG range is too wide-ranging and full of interesting features to cover here in complete detail, as for instance, the KX-TG A935B being drop and splash resistant. However, the size of the range is a strength, as there are many different options to choose from to suit the business or home user.
