After two days of online bingo talking between the heads of some of the major UK online bingo operators and marketers at the posh Victoria Park Plaza Hotel in London, the two day event concluded with the announcement of the results for the Bingo Awards. Each of the attendees at the summit are given a card so they can vote among others their favourite Bingo Operator, Marketing Portal and Marketing Campaign with the winners announced on the last day.

Some of the winners could have been expected and some other not so much. A quick round up of the results from the evening ceremony included the following winners:

As it happened last year, Tombola beat out the rest of the competition that included Foxy Bingo, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power Bingo and Wink Bingo to win the coveted Online Bingo Operator of 2010.

In a bit of an upset, Tea and Bingo managed to fend off the likes of Tasty Bingo, RedBus Bingo, Bingo Hollywood and Caesars Bingo to claim the Best Newcomer 2010 award. Considering the marketing push behind some of the other bingo rooms this was a bit of an unexpected result.

The award for Best Online Bingo Information Portal 2010 probably came as a shock to a few people as BingoPort managed to beat last year’s and regular winner WhichBingo as well as Bingostreet, Bingobase and Ohmybingo.

For the second year running, Virtue Fusion claimed the prestigious award for Best Bingo Software keeping at bay Cozy Games, Parlay Entertainment, Nyx Interactive, Dragonfish and Gamesys.

Income Access also had the distinction of winning the Best Bingo Affiliate Program two years running. The rest of the nominees in this category included Virtue Affiliates, Joy of Bingo, Maria Bing and 888 Affiliates.

The folks at the summit thought that the Foxy Bingo (The One you Want) Marketing Campaign deserved the award this year that also featured Tombola and their Emmerdale sponsorship, Tea and Bingo for their TV advert, RedBus Bingo for their advertisements on Red Buses and Ladbrokes for their Rolling Balls idea. For the record, Foxy Bingo won this same award last year for their Back by Cashcade campaign.

Lastly, best online Bingo Innovation 2010 went to Virtue Fusion for their Deal or No Deal game taking the reins from Cashcade for Cheeky Bingo. Also in the run in for this award were Tombola, Costa Bingo, Amuso, Cozy Games and Alvin5.
