After months of delays and speculation, Nokia have officially revealed an official release date and pricing details for their upcoming flagship smartphone, the Nokia N8.

Nokia's online UK store now states that the Symbian^3 powered N8 will be available online from the end of September, with the handset currently available for pre-order, both on SIM free and on pay monthly deals. Nokia further go on to confirm that the handset will be available to purchase from high-street retailers from October 1^st.

Nokia have also revealed pricing details for the N8. The flagship smartphone will hold a SIM free, unlocked price-tag of £429 from Nokia's online store, with pay monthly deals currently starting at £35/month.

The Nokia N8 will be available in five different colours when launched, including: silver white, dark grey, orange, blue and green. The smartphone will come packed full of features too, including an impressive 12 megapixel camera with HD video recording. The camera comes complete with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash, providing you with pictures of an excellent professional quality. With the N8 you also gain access to the Ovi Store providing you with a host of downloadable apps to make your handset more personal, handy and simply more fun. Nokia also boasts of its free voice-controlled navigation for life, which the N8 will come with pre-installed, so you need never get lost again. Just when you thought there couldn't be more, the Nokia N8 also provides you with multi-tasking support, 3G and WiFi connectivity and media player with Dolby Digital surround sound.
