A Bristol-based legal services business has scored with staff who want to watch the crucial World Cup game between England and Slovenia.

The Co-operative Legal Services (CLS) at Almondsbury is allowing football fans at its legal services practice to watch the final group match, which kicks off at 3pm on Wednesday 23 June when most staff will be working.

Staff who wish to view the game are being invited to watch the match on the TV in the rest area as long they agree to work extra time once it has finished. Those who do not want to see the game can work on as normal.

Eddie Ryan Managing Director, CLS said: “We have a lot of football fans amongst our 250 staff and we know they will want to follow England’s progress in South Africa so a 3 o’clock kick-off on a Friday means the match is on when most of our advisors should be working.

“We know that the number of calls will be down during the game but there is likely to be a surge of activity afterwards. So by taking two hours off to watch the match and then working the extra time afterwards everyone is a winner.”

The Co-operative Legal Services provide legal advice on many key legal issues such as Probate and Estate Administration to Accident and injury claims.
