Misticon to Open One-Stop Quirky
01 April 2010: Snowboarder, model and Topshop designer Charlotte Dutton, is set to bring together a collaboration of quirky young independent British brands to create a new online multi-brand store at Misticon.com that offers consumers something a bit different on 12 April.
Misticon.com will open be an upbeat outlet aimed at quirky, cool, smart girls aged 18-34 with a passion for looking good and mixing and matching their wardrobes and will be a cut above the otherwise predominantly male led, and designed, alternative sports and street clothing brands.
The store is aimed at girls who wish they could get the boutiques of Brighton or the markets of Camden in their living room, at work or on the train. Misticon.com will sell an eclectic mix of designs and products so that you can shop for your whole wardrobe in one place.
From sassy active wear couture by the lead label Misticon to graphic tees from up and coming brands like Bantum and Marmalade Ho, to ethical jeans from RapaNui and burlesque-inspired shoes from Bordello, this promises to be a one-stop eclectic shopping experience.
Charlotte Dutton, founder, said, "It's important to us that we fill a gap in the market and work together as small brands to make sure our offering gives the customer what they really want. We believe we have something unique to offer our consumers, by providing them with brands that have a similar appeal to ours all in one place".
She added, “All the brands involved are UK based indies just like Misticon. With the clothing and accessories ranges covering everything from false eyelashes and nails, to pin up girl shoes, to Alice in Wonderland inspired jewellery and handmade clutch bags, this is a really exciting project for us.”
By bringing together and retailing products like the UK's first ever all girl skate film, selling action-sport industry magazines and tee's for unsigned bands and artists – Misticon.com is also about building an online community. To enhance this there will be a blog that is contributed to by some of the best up-and-coming fashion bloggers, make up experts, artists and musicians.
Misticon is also interested in hearing from any other brands interested in joining their happy co-op and looks forward to seeing you on 12 April!
