Texture is the key word for Mint Velvet’s new Autumn/Winter women’s clothing collection! From luxe furs to drapey shearlings, feathers to fringing, looped to lacey knits and figure-flattering ruch and pleat details; all these “must have” items are layered back with easy-chic, beautifully detailed separates.

The colour palette brings a sexy moodiness with charcoal greys and mochas and the return of black! Lavenders, lichen and the palest of violets delicately highlight the collection mixed with 'moody nature' inspired prints - think anything from feathers to clouds, seascapes and pebbles.

Layering remains key to the Mint Velvet women’s clothing collection this season; team a delicate embroidered sheer or silk burn-out dress with a cosy, luxe knit or a pretty ruched or printed dress with a military coat for the soft/hard look of the new season.

AW10 follows 5 themes: Antique, Gothic, Military, Urban and Texture.

ANTIQUE see a colour palette of charcoal, silver grey, white and pale lavender. Subtle tonal embroidered pieces are layered with angora and loopy textured knits. Nature inspired prints and a hint of metallic in yarns and trims add highlights, whilst clever cutting gives beautiful drape and ruch details on knits and dresses. Adding an organic raw cut suede jacket or lightweight parka will complete the look.

GOTHIC brings the start of the moodier sexy vibe of the season; think a beautiful asymmetric printed or embroidered dress with a 'covetable' jacquard coat thrown over. Colours are black, coffee, mocha and pale violet. Fabric mixing is key with satin panels on easy drapey knits and a pleated chiffon front on a jersey dress, for edginess. Sheers is essential - a cool new update on the trench - sheer and floaty teamed with a delicate stud and pleat tunic dress. Late Winter sees the addition of a dramatic palette of blacks, charcoal and gold. Stand out items of Mint Velvet clothing for AW include a beautiful black on black embellished edgy tunic dress worn with the sexiest mini black fur gilet or a sophisticated charcoal draped dress with stunning fringe and bead detail.

MILITARY is one of the newest and coolest looks of season; in a palette of khaki, lichen, ivory and antiqued brown leather. Must have military coats or the antiqued leather 'aviator' inspired jacket embellished with metal buttons and epaulettes are all given a more feminine and boho vibe when teamed back with luxe furs, devore dresses, soft ruffles and pretty embroidered tunics.

URBAN is a slightly edgier take on effortless/ easy daywear, with hints of the sports-luxe/modernist feel from the catwalk; zip details, modern stripes, oversize collars, new knitwear silhouettes and body contour prints on jersey in a palette of charcoal and silver grey, white and ink. More “must have” coats of the season include a new modernist popper detail trench, three quarter length coats and a luxe fur trimmed winter parka - paired with contour seamed skinny pants or a mini for a modern sexy feel. Late winter see organic stripes, oversize cable detail knits and lofty/ zip detail knit coats added to the mix.

TEXTURE think gorgeous, easy and cosy in a pretty winter palette of pale greys, and violet with touches of charcoal. Luxurious drapey knits, delicate lacey and crochet textures, cloud and seascape inspired faded prints are layered back with the softest organic shearling coats and chunkier knits as outerwear.
