‘MEMORY’
SHOW YOUR OWN: EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL
You too can be part of this exhibition! This summer’s exhibition MEMORY, features work by artists using ‘memory/loss of’ as either a focal point or inspiration. Figurative, large-scale, wooden sculpture intersecting with shards of glass, memories trapped in glass, ceramic and publications. Memories preserved in photography and stitch.
During the exhibition we will be offering a range of activities to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society. We have created a ‘memory box’ template for you to customise. Take this opportunity to share with others some treasured memories of loved ones/events/emotions. These could be happy memories of anyone you know or knew, of times you’ve had, of emotions evoked. Use photos or special items, poems, songs, phrases or any memorabilia you choose which evokes a vision of the person/time you are remembering in the memory box.
The cost is £3 which not only includes the template emailed directly to you, but also includes your exhibiting fee – all completed works will be exhibited alongside the main exhibition. The exhibition runs 30 July-11 Sept 2011 and we are happy to receive your completed ‘memory box’ at any point throughout the exhibition.
