Mandy Booth, a 41 year old mother of two from Ashton-under-Lyne, has stepped out for charity by taking part in a very special ladies night - the Midnight Wander through the streets of Tameside - on behalf of Willow Wood Hospice.

Mandy, who is an Administrator at Cygnet Financial Services Limited, which sits on the panel of lenders of specialist sub-prime car dealer ACF Car Finance Limited, has so far raised £175 for the skilled team of nurses at Willow Wood, who care for patients from across the Tameside and Glossop area. It is the fourth year the Midnight Wander, a 10km sponsored walk starting and ending at Cheetham’s Park in Stalybridge, has taken place and it was the first time Mandy has taken part. Mandy took on the challenge in the company of her younger daughter, 18 year old Louise, and her mother-in-law Sylvia.

Mandy, who has also run in the Race for Life and raised money for the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal since losing her father to cancer two years ago, said:

“It was an amazing experience taking part in this event, with over 1,800 women walking through the streets. I want to do all I can to raise money for such a good cause.”

Mandy’s boss, Norman Beaumont, Director of Cygnet Financial Services, said: “We are very proud of Mandy’s achievement and were delighted to contribute £100 for such a worthwhile fundraising effort.”
