Is a holiday really a holiday if you take your phone?

A survey by AlphaRooms.com in the UK showed that 80 per cent of Britons worried about their work while on holidays, while three-quarters made or took a work telephone call while on holiday.

Well this is not great surprise really, I personally took a work call on the first day of my holiday last year much to the disgust of my wife. These days its hard to leave the office behind - unless you work in a job you care little for the chances are you'll be needed for something.

During a recent wedding the brides colleague actually reminded her that she needed to finish some paperwork before she left for her honeymoon - I assumed it was a David Brent style joke until she agreed that she would do it after breakfast the following morning!
