Katies Cards, the UK based ecards creator, has received increasing interest in its Halloween Ecards in the run up to what is one of biggest dates after summer. The company have been creating animated ecards for the Halloween season since 2007, when Katie set the business up.

Katie Davies commented: “Halloween is traditionally a busy time for us – people seem to like the idea of sending ecards around this time of year. I guess you can express some really gruesome things with animation – and get away with it!”

Katie animates all the ecards in the Katies Cards range, and enlists the skills of Barry Sexton for background creation and additional character design, along with Ben Davis for the musical accompaniment.

“The combination of animation,” continues Katie, “great artwork and carefully crafted music comes together to produce these ecards – and Halloween really gives us all the chance to let our imaginations run wild. It’s funny how the gruesome and grizzly captures the imagination of people – I suppose Halloween has a wonderful selection of ghouls, ghosts and spooky creatures associated with it.”

Katies Cards’ services are delivered on a subscription basis, where members get access to the company’s entire catalogue of ecards. One of the key selling points of the company’s products is the fact that you can add personalised messages at the end of the animation. The Katies Cards team expect Halloween ecards downloads to be the highest since the company started trading three years ago.
