On an open microphone today in Rochdale, Gordon Brown, the prime minister was heard to call a woman, who he'd just had a 'pleasant' conversation with and told her she had a good family, a bigoted woman.
He said "She's just a sort of bigoted woman who says she used to be Labour."
What on earth was he thinking?
Is this going to be a problem for Gordon Brown and the Labour Party? With accusations by the other parties of an 'On-Camera, Off-Camera' attitude to the general public, this certainly seems important.
