For the third month in a row, Eurozone production has increased. Since last month, production in the 16 countries that use the euro has increased by 0.9%. While that number is less than expected - original estimates were for 1.2% - it is still being looked at as a positive thing. Increased industrial production is a way of helping to pull the EU out of the recession. If the trend continues, the end of the recession may come more quickly than was expected. Of course, production could be slowing down since the actual level of growth fell quite short of the original forecast. These figures were recently released by Eurostat, the European statistics office.

Factors Behind Increased Production

Although several things may be contributing to the increased levels of industrial production within the EU, most experts agree that the biggest one concerns the reduced value of the euro. Since the value of the euro is lower than it has ever been, it is cheaper for countries outside of the 16-member EU to purchase the goods that are produced there. In turn, demand is increased and production goes up. If the value of the euro rises again, then, industrial companies and manufacturers should brace themselves for a slump. On the other hand, the euro may rise and value and production could hold steady; there's simply no way of predicting what will happen.

Increased Production May Pull EU Out of Recession

While increased industrial production in the EU alone isn't enough to pull the region out of the recession, it is definitely a step in the right direction. As more and more people across the UK and Europe turn to payday loans just to make ends meet, any positive news is met with enthusiasm and optimism. With any luck, the rate of increase for the upcoming month will also be strong. Many are hopeful that industrial production will continue to increase so that the EU becomes a bigger player in the manufacturing game. When outside countries spend their money on EU-produced goods, they help bring the entire region into a better place economically.
