Joining along with quiet a few big names in the smartphones market is Dell, one of the largest desktop computers and mobile PC manufacturer of the world.. Dell is unleashing soon the Dell Thunder, Dell Smoke Dell Aero and Dell Flash, all the four Android based smartphones.
And their specifications in terms of their hardware, and design is enough to floor anyone.
Dell's flagship among the four mobile phones is the Dell Thunder. The Dell Thunder boasts of a 4.1 inch WVGA OLED display. The smartphone carries a 8 mega pixel autofocus camera. The Dell Thunder has invested a lot in ensuring that the users have a jolly good time social networking. The smartphone also lends full support for Flash 10. The Dell Thunder provides for a customized Dell home-brewed interface. Though in case you do not want to use your browser for that, there is always the features Hulu application to resort to.
It is expected that the Dell Thunder will make its appearance on UK mobile phone store shelves in the fourth quarter of 2010. A little later its launch, a LTE-enabled version will be released. Dell is sure to attract several mobile phone deals and offers.
Sporting a truly out-of-this-world in terms of design is the Dell Smoke. The inclusion of full QWERTY keyboard right below the 2.8 inches QVCA screen actually lends this phone a somewha WQVGA look. Equipped with a 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor, the Dell Smoke is run by the Android 2.2 Frovo OS.A 5 mega pixel cmaer, 14.4 Mbps HSPA, microSD card slot, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. A second microphone secures noise cancelation all together make this device an unbelievably unique smartphone. However, the 10.5 mm thin, Dell Smoke will mesmerize us only in the second quarter of 2011.
Powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm processor, the Dell Flash is, expectedly, supported by Flash 10 in its browser and is based on Android 2.2 Froyo with custom Stage UI. The smartphone is accentuated by a 3.5 inch WVGA TFT touchscreen display and boasts of a hefty 512MB RAM and support of microSD cards of up to 64 GB.
Finally, the Dell Aero is nothing but a pumped up version of the Dell 3i. Though sporting the same screen it offers 3G with HSDPA. The wi-fi and 5 MP camera are further additions to it. It is safely assumed that Dell will upgrade the Q3 or Q4 currently on this year to Android 2.1 shortly.
