There was no monkeying around as CDL (Computer Disposals Ltd) collected its prize at this year’s Green IT Awards, held at London Zoo. CDL was named the winner of the “Recycling Scheme of the Year” award, collecting their bonsai tree and proving themselves to be one of the UK’s leading IT disposal companies.

CDL was nominated by the readers of Green IT Magazine for its innovative computer recycling scheme and it beat off stiff competition to win the coveted award, presented on Earth Day.

 “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award and to know that we have clearly impressed both experts in environmentally-friendly IT and our loyal customers”, said Jean-Pierre Naylor, Director at CDL. 

“We are constantly challenging ourselves to think up new environmentally-friendly, yet cost effective recycling techniques and to receive acknowledgment of this from people in the know is a great achievement”, Jean-Pierre added.

CDL’s forward thinking attitude to IT recycling and computer disposals has earned the company a reputation for being ahead of government legislation and for leading the way for other companies in the sector, making it a worthy winner of a Green IT Award.

The Green IT Awards aim to set the standard for companies in this industry by recognising the outstanding work that UK companies do to improve the environmental performance of the IT industry as a whole.
