Mixed martial arts is currently exploding at a rate of knots never experienced before with regards to a growing sport. People love to watch MMA in the states, as there are a new breed of loyal followers.

The interesting thing about MMA fans is that most of them are open minded to different martial arts, it is this open mindedness that allows for such rapid growth, as people are not adverse to discovering a new way of doing things.

Any martial artist can watch MMA and see the techniques being used in the fight. The beauty is that there are such a vast array of techniques that can be used, because of the wide pool of martial artists that it is drawing in. So, a karate practitioner may be able to see a certain karate kick being used. The same way a Judo expert will be able to see when someone uses a throw.

There are so many different combinations of fighting and different things to use to finish a fight which is partly why the MMA scene is so exciting. So in a way, what the UFC has done with MMA is what Bruce Lee did with Kung Fu, or for the purists reading this he created his own style which was called Jeet Kune Do. The really fascinating thing is that basically, Bruce Lee was one of the first to take the best from each style, so in effect was the precursor to Mixed Martial Arts - or MMA as we know it today. He was way ahead of his time, another person who was open minded enough to take in other martial arts.

Now, MMA betting is something that any MMA fan can get excited about, especially if there may be a possible upset in the midst. The UFC has some of the most spectacular fights, some of them with a spectacular finish. As Dana White once said, there is always a guaranteed shocker in one of their events.
