Force 8, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of composite doors, has designed a door in celebration of the impending royal wedding, as part of its new Platinum Collection.
The door, aptly named ‘The Prince William’, is a triple glazed, with bevelled glass inside the sealed unit, timber-look composite door finished in royal blue. It also features a half moon glazed panel and six smaller frosted panes, all made from high quality Balmoral glass.
‘The Prince William’ is part of Force 8’s new Platinum Collection, which brings together a handpicked selection of traditional and contemporary composite doors, French doors and bi-folding doors.
All composite doors in Force 8’s new range comply with the new 2010 thermal building regulations, which outline strict guidelines on suitable materials and manufacturing methods to be used in all aspects of the construction of new buildings and renovation work.
Customers buying composite front doors, back doors or cottage doors from Force 8 will benefit from doorsets that have achieved a thermal efficiency value of 1.6 W/(m²-K)or (a measure of thermal transmittance and conductivity) or less and are therefore certified energy efficient products.
Composite doors can help to keep in valuable heat and keep out cold draughts, noise and intruders, making them a valuable investment for all homeowners – the royal wedding door is no exception having achieved a PAS24 certificate the guarantee of a secure door.

Notes to Editor:
Force 8 started life as a family-run business in 1988 and continues as such today, designing, making and delivering specialist composite doors, arched frames, and bespoke windows and doors to over 2,000 customers across the UK and Europe.
Composite doors have all the appeal of solid timber doors but their construction and GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) coating offer a high degree of thermal efficiency, strength and low thermal expansion due to the manufacturing process of thermosetting.
Based in Stockport, the team of professional craftsmen, customer service representatives and delivery staff offer Force 8 products, professional installation services and aftercare to consumers nationwide and in Europe. Product samples are on display in their North West factory.
