Adopt Resources offers information, training and coaching for anyone involved in the adoption process or wanting to find out more about it. Developed by an adoptive parent, the website and services offered have been influenced by personal and professional experience of adoption. Regular features on the site include surveys, articles and reports. Adopt Resources also run training workshops, small group and one -to-one coaching for parents and prospective adopters. National Adoption week is 1 - 7 November 2010 Fiona is the Director of Adopt Resources, Mum to 3 adopted children and a respite foster carer with over 10 years experience of fostering and adoption. Fiona has first hand experience of the joys and challenges of parenting and of trying to navigate around the social services, CAMHS and education support networks Fiona’s professional background is in nursing. Fiona has extended her professional experience to research and education in both the clinical and social services setting. More recently, Fiona has worked with families and social workers in the context of adoption and fostering.
