Employees of leading UK sub-prime car dealer, ACF Car Finance Limited, have a spring in their step this month as they train for the BUPA 10km Great Manchester Run in aid of the company’s elected charity, BEN.

Fifteen staff members will be taking part with the aim of collectively raising £3,000 for the charity, which supports employees of the automotive and related industries, in times of need. The fundraising is going well so far and the runners are confident in reaching the target, motivated by the fact that ACF Car Finance has pledged to match the total amount raised.

The annual run takes place on Sunday 16 May, coinciding with ACF Car Finance’s seventh birthday.*

ACF Car Finance has been a regular supporter of BEN and employees have staged numerous fundraisers, including a sponsored abseil and sky dive.

The ACF Car Finance runners are keeping supporters up-to-date on their training and fundraising progress through the ‘Jog Blog’ which is hosted on the official BEN charity website.

Jane Whittle, Marketing Manager at ACF Car Finance and one of the runners said: “BEN provides support and advice to the people who work in our industry. We fully appreciate not only as a company, but as individuals, the tireless work they do. To be taking part in the Manchester 10km run in aid of BEN is an honour for the whole team and we are all working hard to prepare for the big day.

“I’m thrilled BEN has allowed us to create and manage the Jog Blog, in fact I’ve been affectionately nicknamed the ‘Jogger Blogger’! It’s an exciting way to share what we are up to and how we feel about the event. We enjoy taking part in fundraising activities and what better way to share the experience with our supporters.”

BEN offers help, support and financial assistance to over 15,000 people every year. The charity has four residential centres across the UK which provides a range of services including nursing, quality care to the elderly as well as sheltered accommodation.
